Here is a word from Tim Laird…
Back in 2010, I had a Chordoma tumor removed, complete
resection from what they could see. A
lot of God-things, not happenstance that occurred in 2010. So much answered prayers. It was amazing.
I am seeking prayer warriors again as the Chordoma has come
back but in my sinus cavity this time.
It is a couple of millimeters from the carotid artery and about 5mm from
the optic nerve of my left eye.
Both of my doctors from 2010 are recommending immediate
surgery. The closer it gets to the
carotid artery, the more risk. I was
originally scheduled for surgery on January 22, but insurance approvals have
hindered things a bit.
As of right now, the surgery is scheduled for January 29,
but the pre-op and post-op imaging still needs approval from the insurance
company.
Dr Kassam and team also want to make certain that the
Chordoma has not metastasized and so ordered a PET Scan which was approved by
insurance and is scheduled for January 24.
There are more details out in my Caring Bridge journal along with a list of prayer requests. The link is:

Thank you for your love and prayer support.

Here are some prayer requests (thank you prayer warriors):
The MRI and CT images are approved well before the
27th. They need to be approved ahead of
time, or we are required to pay for them out of pocket or have the dates moved.
The PET Scan comes back clean.
The flu / cold I caught does not interfere with the surgery
schedule. Also for quick and complete
healing from it would be a plus.
Dr Prevedello and Dr Carrau are covered as In Network for my
post-op needs after we come back from Chicago.
There is a potential for being released earlier than
February 4 and so requesting that will happen.
Safe travels to / from / around Chicago. It looks like a significant snowfall will hit
the 27th.
Safety for my boys (men) while we are away.
To have the Chordoma shrink to make it easier for the
resection. It would be a huge plus to
have it dissolve completely on its own.
