Might be time for a new family photo?

If you can't remember when you got your last family photo it's probably time to get one done. Even if you are a family of one!* And here's the great part You can have it done for free at SMC! Every few years we do a church family photo album with everybody's picture in it.

This is a fantastic tool to help us get to know each other. If you're new to SMC and you don't know the people that have been around for a while you can look up their pictures in the photo album. By the same token if you've been around SMC for a while and you're not sure who those new people are you can look them up too.

I don't know about you but I can remember faces about 10 times as easily as I can names. It's very embarrassing but these little books can help immensely. This is why we want everyone to sign up and come and get your picture taken sometime between August 6th and 8th.

You need to understand the folks that come and take the picture we'll also want to sell you pictures if you want them. I know we've had these done over the years and rarely have we ever bought any. But then there was one year that I actually thought I looked good in our photos-which is incredibly rare- [Full disclosure: I HATE having my picture taken] and my boys were rapidly approaching manhood and I knew our days of family photos were coming to an end-so we bought. I am so glad we got the pictures we did and they hang on our wall to this day so I want to encourage you to come and get your picture taken who knows it might be the best picture you've ever had!

Here's two ways you sign up: #1 Call the office 9am to 1pm Tuesday thru Friday and Kathy will set you up or #2 Do it yourself on line by  going to www.ucdir.com, click on photography appointment scheduling login on the right side, enter oh2978 in the church code field and enter SMC585 in the church password field. Enter your info, pick your time and bing! You are good to go!

*If you attend with your grandkid[s] they should be in the picture too! Did you know you can even bring in your [house trained] pets? Let get everybody in on the fun :)
