On the heels of our mother’s day sermon “My Momma told me” I’m
requesting stories of your father’s faith. Here again I know not everyone has
had the best experiences with their fathers-some seemed to only have negative! I
grieve this with you.
However this is where I would remind you I seek stories from
all the fathers in our lives-biological, adoptive/foster and spiritual. I
believe inside the church [and even outside the church by God’s grace] the Lord
can give us faithful father figures to be the very presence of God in our
lives.
These men help us in our faith and give of a glimpse of who
our heavenly father really is. I want to capture these stories just like we did
with our moms. Not to single out or brag about anyone’s particular dad but
rather lift up men who show us who God is by how they live and love us.
I will take your stories anyways you want to get them to
me-by June 14 please :)
