Get Chosen this Christmas
When is the last time you cried over the story of Jesus?
When is the last time you watched a show that made you feel
closer to Jesus and like you wanted to tell more people about Him?
I was recently told
about a series of videos called The Chosen. This 8 episode production portrays the life of Jesus in a
powerful way that I've never experienced before. I would like every family in
our church to see this.
Now through the generosity of a few individuals who feel the
same way you can! As a Christmas gift to all of you, we have copies of The Chosen available. These were given out at the Christmas Eve service and to
those who stopped by the church office and now have been placed in your church
mail boxes. Our primary hope is that every SMCer will watch this and be drawn
closer to Jesus.
If this happens to our entire congregation it will be worth
it. But we believe God has more in store for this resource. For the follower of
Jesus one of the core motivations in life is to share the Gospel-that is the
Good News of Jesus. These videos do this in a simple yet high impact way.
Our secondary hope would be that
you would want to share this resource with others. It is the perfect gift for
those who don't know the story of Jesus or who have fallen away from him. Let
me know if you give away your DVD and want to give away more. We see this as
having the potential to be a huge outreach opportunity in our own neighborhoods.
Perhaps even to the
level that we did with Saturate USA, the outreach we offered to almost a
thousand households in our community on March 24, 2019. Watch this DVD and receive
the blessing of the story of Jesus again and then prayerfully consider how He
may be calling us to share the story with others.
You can also watch the entire series from The Chosen YouTube
channel and see an incredible amount of background for the movement it has
become. You can also watch it commercial free from this website as well:

I believe this is a beautiful light we can shine out of the
darkness of 2020 and into 2021. Now more than ever people need to hear the
life-saving story of Jesus and I believe we have the capacity to share it even better
now.
God Bless you and Merry Christmas!
